59 Farmhouses in Delhi face Demolition Threat

About 59 farmhouses in the Bijwasan area of north-west Delhi face the threat of demolition for carrying out unauthorized constructions. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) gave an undertaking before the Delhi high court (HC) on Friday saying it would demolish the illegal structures in the farmhouses and had already sealed 53 properties. The MCD gave the assurance to bench of justices Vikramjeet Sen and Manmohan Singh which was hearing a petition against unauthorized constructions in farmhouses in certain areas of the capital. read more>>
