MMRDA invites Bids for allotment of Commercial Plot at Wadala Truck Terminal (WTT)
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) constituted under the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority Act, 1974 is planning to develop part of Wadala Truck Terminal (WTT) as business district and Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT).
OFFER FROM MMRDA :
In order to cater to the growing demand for business area and entertainment needs in Mumbai,MMRDA intends to offer the following plot for construction of Tail Tower on 65 years lease. The Plot (Commercial) have in their vicinity, ISBT of WTT and residential areas of Everard nagar, Bhakti park and also Engineering College, Imax Multiplex Theatre etc. The site is well connected by road and rail network, The work on India’s first Monorail of 20 km. length connecting the City and Suburbs through WTT is already under execution and expected to be completed by June, 2011. A flyouver also has been developed between Eastern Express Highway (EEH) and the WTT. The site also has a road access from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road via Sion Koliwada area.
Sealed bids are invited from those who are eligible and competent to enter into contract under the Indian Contract Act 1872 as mentioned bellow:-

Note :
- Plot Area given above are likely to change marginally on actual demarcation on site. However, the Maximum Permissible Built up area will remain the same.
- Any bid quoting a price lower than the Reserve Price as mentioned above would stand automatically rejected.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF BIDDERS :
1) Financial Services such as Banks, Financial Institutions, Non – Banking Financial Companies, Housing Finance Agencies, Merchant Banks, Insurance Agencies, Asset Management Companies and Mutual Funds.
2) Corporate of regional offices of leading India companies with a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 250 crore with minimum Net Worth of Rs. 60 crores and in case of foreign companies with regional headquarters and branch offices in India minimum annual turnover equivalent to Rs. 500 crores with minimum net worth of Rs. 100 crores. (Partnership firms are not considers eligible) Lease of plot to foreign companies will be subject to approval of Reserve Bank of India.
3) Organization engaged in Information Technologies & Telecommunications.
4) Corporate Developers catering to mixed permissible users as stated in table above.
5) In case of above categories except at ii) the gross turnover of the bidders business during the last financial year shall not be less than Rs. 100 crore and the bidder shall have minimum Net worth of Rs. 50 crores as per the last audited balance sheet of the firm at the time of submission of the bid.
6) Bidder shall have constructed/ completed a building of height not less than 200 mtr.

SALE AND SUBMISISON OF BID DOCUMENT :
The bid document contaning the details of the plot., procedure of submission of bids, evaluation procedure, terms and conditions of lease along with the prescribed forms will be available for sale as per the schedule given in the above table in the office of the Dy.Metropolitan Commissioner (Land & Estate), 4th Floor, MMRDA Building, Bandra – Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai – 400 051 on payment of Rs. 50,000/- for each bid.
The payment be made by way of Demand Draft / Pay Order / Banker’s Cheque drawn in favor of “MMRD Fund” payable at Mumbai, Sealed bids will be received in the office of the Dy. Metropolitan Commissioner (Land & Estate), MMRDA at the address given above. The details (Except prescribed forms of bids) are also available on MMRDA’s www.mmrdamumbai.org from th March, 2010.
Any Bid received, in person or by post, after the appointed date time for receipt of sealed bid shall be invalid any will be rejected.
The MMRDA reserves to itself the liberty to reject all of any bid including the highest bid without assigning any reason.
