Attention: Property Tax Payers

Date for NDBC’S Self Assessment Scheme under annual rent bye-laws 2009  with

10% Rebate Extended upto 31/03/2010

More than 50% of the tax payers who have paid the taxes, for the Year 2009-2010, have opted for Self Assessment Scheme under the Annual rent Bye-laws of 2009 & availed following rebates:

a) 50% rebate on the first one lakh of the rateable value;

b) 50% rebate in the caseof self occupied residentail properties owned & occupied by senoir citizens, physically challenged & women where no portion is on rent after deducting the rebate at  (a) above;

c) 10% rebate after deducting (a) and (b) above, if the taxes were paid by 31st December 2009 & 5% if the return is filed & taxes paid between 01.01.2010 to 31.03.2010.

Requests are being received from the other proerty oeners who have not availed this scheme that they are keen to pay the taxes under the Self Assessment Scheme under the under the bye-laws of 2009 & the date for filing the return & payment of tax with 10% rebate be extended upto 31st March 2010

Accordingly, scheme pf Self Assessment for the Year 2009-10 for filing return & payment of tax, with 10% rebate, has been extended upto 31st March 2010
