New Delhi: Blaming the Congress-led Delhi government for handing out provisional regularisation certificates to unauthorized colonies, the BJP has alleged that the state has granted such a certificate to Ganga Colony near DND flyover in south Delhi.
BJP state president Vijender Gupta alleged that Ganga Vihar is nothing but a vacant plot of land.Calling for a CBI probe into the alleged land scam, the BJP proposes to meet Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna to discuss the issue. The party has called for registration of FIRs against those involved in the bungling.
The allegations come a day after the L-G ordered an inquiry into allegations made by former MLA Rambir Singh Bidhuri citing documents that Radha Krishna Vihar and Kotla Mahigram Extension in south Delhi have been granted provisional certificates in the name of regularisation.
With the MCD polls slated for early 2012 the BJP is in no mood to let go of this opportunity of taking on the Congress on the regularisation issue.
In a statement issued later, the BJP handed out a series of events to unravel the alleged scam.On June 23,1989,DDA had acquired land under section 4 of land Acquisition Act in Ganga Vihar Colony.DDA had taken the possessions of this land by paying compensation to farmers at the rate of Rs 27 per metre on June 22,1990.The farmers challenged this compensation in the court of the additional district Judge following which the judge personally visited the site.He found that the site was vacant and only one temple and a mazar existed there.
Vijender Gupta further alleged that in the meantime the land mafia obtained provisional certificates in the name of Ganga Vihar by showing it as an inhabited colony in October 2008. Source>>>
