SC breather to Lanco Infra on township project

Hyderabad: In a major relief to the infrastructure firm Lanco Infratech, the Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed orders of Andhra Pradesh High Court issued last month that prohibited the company from continuing construction activities at its major township project in Hyderabad.

The high court had on 3 April observed that the land on which Lanco is building its integrated township project belong the Wakf Board and stayed construction activities on the disputed land till further orders. Continue reading

Court stalls construction on Metro plot

New Delhi: The Delhi high court on Tuesday asked DDA and DMRC not to go ahead with the construction of a multi-storeyed housing society on plots acquired from University of Delhi for Vishwavidyalaya Metro station here.

Metro: Changes suggested for final approval

Noida: To clear the tracks for the two proposed Metro rail routes in Noida, the newly-appointed CEO Sanjeev Saran met DMRC officials on Tuesday and suggested changes for finalizing the projects. Industrial sector roads to get new lease of life soon

Noida: Spelling respite for lakhs of commuters who frequent the industrial sectors in the city, the Noida Authority has begin work on repairing the potholes-ridden and severely damaged roads. Crucial NH-1 widening project will take 2 yrs

Land Acquisition Bill will hurt industries, dams, says Pawar

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Saturday expressed reservations about the new Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill, 2011, saying it would in particular pose hurdles in setting up industries and creating new dams.

Planning board to scrutinize infrastructure projects

Noida: The National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) will review ongoing infrastructure works of Noida and Greater Noida Authority, as specified in the Uttar Pradesh sub-regional plan, next week.
